Bath, Year 3

A scheme set in the derelict district of Poplar. A forgotten pocket located between Canary Wharf and Queen Elizabeth Park.  The scheme proposes a new bridge and community space linking across the A12. In response to the huge population issues in that area the bridge seeks to become an initiative that improves air quality for residents. Conceptually, Sensus uses latest technologies to create an environmentally sensitive design that improves air quality and minimizes sound pollution. It does this

by utilising Moss. Cultured moss is enabled to grow on the wings of the bridge acting as absorbers of pollution. The project also explores the way one can interlink engineering with build forms. Architecturally, the bridge and building are all one, seamlessly acting together.
